Google has set out to fix delays in service that impede people from walking the correct path using their phone navigation systems with a new feature called Live View. This view allows users to see the street in augmented reality. In short, it overlays large arrows on the streets while you walk, indicating exactly where you need to go.
Augmented reality uses your phone’s camera and GPS to see where you are and then place arrows and street names in the appropriate spots. You can then hold the phone up to a street and it will direct you where to go in real-time. This new feature is only available while a user is not driving.
